Rameen Talesh is the Assistant Vice Chancellor Student Life & Leadership and Dean of Students at UCI. Throughout his career, Rameen has worked with various programs and services including undergraduate housing, campus activities, clubs & organizations and cross-cultural services. His 27 years of professional experience in student affairs administration has covered both public and private institutions of various sizes including UC Riverside, California State University Northridge, and Occidental College. Rameen received his Ph.D degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern California where he teaches graduate courses in the Rossier School of Education as an adjunct Associate Professor. He earned his Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University Northridge, and his B.A. degree in Political Science from UCI. Rameen has served two terms as a past UCI Alumni Association Board member and has worked at UCI in a variety of roles. He still enjoys playing intramural basketball with the students, doing yoga and has been known to sing from time to time.
