Stephanie Reyes-Tuccio received her B.A. in History from UCSD and her M.A. and Ph.D in History from UCI. In May 2007 she became the Director of the Center for Educational Partnerships, UC Irvine’s campus hub for outreach. The Center creates collaborations to support preparation for and success in higher education. It houses over 25 programs that work with over 10,000 students, nearly 3,000 teachers and over 3,500 parents annually in more than 1200 schools across Southern California. Prior to this position Reyes-Tuccio served as the Director of the UCI History Project, partnering the UCI History Department with local K-12 districts in numerous state, federal and private grants. In this capacity, Reyes-Tuccio provided professional support and curriculum development for teachers throughout Southern California. Reyes-Tuccio has taught in the departments of History, Education, Women’s Studies, and Chicano Latino Studies at UCI as well as several community colleges.
